Summer Is Finally Here       added: MAY09


It's summer now and people are looking forward to getting outdoors again.  As soon
as all this rain goes away and summer weather comes around we'll all be ready
to get  out on the rivers and the lakes.... fishing, swimming, hiking....
I'm looking forward to it myself.

Price We Pay For Winter       added: JAN09

We do pay a higher price for our normal house bills during the winter months.  
The electric bill goes up because we tend to stay inside more.  People just don't
get out as much then.

It makes me think about saving money and conserving the amount of power I
use around the house.  Spending more during the winter months helps to
realize that I can reduce the amount of power I consume in a day by turning
off things that I really don't need....

Local Bands and Venues      added: OCT09

Battle of the Bands is coming up this Saturday Oct. 17th at the Riverside Park.
It will start about 2pm and will be 8 bands playing.  A main part of the judging
will be audience participation.  So show up and support your favorite band.
